I genuinely dislike this movie so much. Anyone who has read the books will be sorely disappointed with this. The entire storyline has fallen apart, I hate how they designed the characters and not to mention most of the characters that are mentioned for the main part aren't even in the books. It's like they just took the idea of dragons and completely made their own spinoff show about it which looks nothing like the original. I'm absolutely appalled that this has a 4.9 review... But let's start breaking this entire mess into more sizeable chunks so you get an idea of what you're in for if you decide to watch this movie. First of all, the plot. I have absolutely no idea about how the plot has come to this and it has none of Cressida Cowell's storyline or charm. Second, they completely wiped off few of the main characters in the story, important to Hiccup's character development, or either altered them into something I can't even recognize. I though Fishlegs was supposed to be a small, scrawny, anxious boy instead of an oversized oaf with a moustache? And what about Toothless? Wasn't he a tiny green dragon rather than an absolutely huge dark dragon? They didn't even acknowledge Camicazi's presence and instead replaced her with a sloppy, oh-so-independant brat called Astrid who would go on to be Hiccup's love interest in the story. I have nothing against love stories but this story was supposed to be about being a hero the hard way instead of a soppy love story. To all the people saying this was an absolutely life changing and amazing experience of them: y'all have no taste when it comes to movies. Please don't watch this pathetic, poorly made cashgrab story, you'll be doing yourself a favour.

This is the worst movie I have ever seen. I can't understand a thing the characters say and I don't see why so many people like it. Besides, Toothless is nothing like in the books, he's supposed to be a tiny toothless dragon instead of a big monster who shoots lightning out of his mouth. The movie was really cringy and Astrid doesn't seem to have a specific role, it makes me think that she's just there to say yes to everything Hiccup suggests. Also, I didn't like the ending when Toothless leaves, Astrid and Hiccup get married, have kids and then suddenly Toothless comes back with his wife. It was a bit rushed, really. The book series are way better.

Lovely film, I absolutely love the film for its witty humor and the plot was just chef's kiss 🤩. I would recommend this movie for all age groups! I rate this a 100/10
