To be honest, I had zero expectations when I started watching this movie so if u are having zero expectations too,I promise this movie won't disappoint you. The characters of the main couple was written very well. Ajay 's( varun dhawan) character is a complex one.His real personality hidden and restricted under the depths of his own selfishness and insecurities.I disliked his character at the beginning but towards the end I really understood what was he portraying.Most people may disagree but Ajay's character was relatable at least for me because it isn't easy living as an average person,when everyone around you is either the best or the worst. At least they have something they can identify themselves by but what about the average people.They can't say they are good neither they are bad. Varun's acting didn't disappoint me.And about Nisha (Jhanvi's character) she really did a good job playing Nisha. Nisha is our inner self a person filled with dreams,passion,love and innocence but doesn't have the courage and just goes along the way of what her life chooses for her because she thinks she deserves it or it is supposed to happen that way. But it really helped them together because they really needed each other. The whole movie was really good for me both in entertainment perspective and even educational too. I really think the portrayal of the World War was done very deliberately.
