Search for a missing God got me intrigued in an otherwise just another offbeat series. So God was my mainstay in it for me. However, the series has shown a total misunderstanding of who God is. Writer has tried to see God from a human point of view whereas God is an entity who is and will always remain beyond the limits of human imagination. By trying to see God through a human prism, the writer has messed up not only the series but also his own self. You don’t judge God by rights and wrongs of your lives and of course you don’t blame God for what wrongs are happening in the world. Such a myopic view. When we say why God has not fulfilled our desires or why some pain was caused to us or why there is cancer in the world, the very thought shows our narrow-minded human perspective. Why not? Where is the God’s angle? God wants suffering in this world. That is why He has created satan. If God wanted everyone to be happy and have his desires fulfilled, then the concept of the next world is useless where rewards will be granted to those who remained patient in the face of affliction. Judging God? What a pathetic approach? How can a blade of grass judge the mountain? The scale of grass cannot weigh mountain. It will break down. It is for God to judge us, not for us to judge God. I kept scrolling through the seasons, just to find where God would encounter Jesse. Somehow, a very lowly power Genesis, whose own genesis is unknown nor any detail is given about it, becomes a power greater than God Himself. For God’s sake! The real God must be smiling on this funny effort of humans. I totally resent blasphemy expressed towards the Jesus Christ. Writers have totally missed the points. I don’t know why I kept going through the episodes after episodes, perhaps in the hope that sanity would prevail at some point. The only sane character was Jesse who also turned out to be a profane and blasphemous murderer. God has definitely allowed the writers to write such a lame story based on whatever (I haven’t read that). But God has somehow nudged me to write this review too. Remember, God is totally not like that shown in this series. He is Loving, the Most Kind, and Forgiving. Do not start whining when God sends you tests and takes away your beloved persons or things. He takes them away so that you love only Him and nothing else. An of course, the real God is the God of the Gods. No one can beat Him. No one!
