I finished the first one in the series, New Girl in Town, it wasn’t great. There are many errors. I then looked her up and saw the books in her other series got good reviews. I decided to try the 2nd one in the series-The Murders in Beacon Hill. Chapter one- Brock Tanner from the 1st book has suddenly become Brock Turner in the 2nd book. It feels like the author/authors have created many books in this series in such a short period of time and neglected proof reading, editing and knowing the characters they have created well enough to even know the names they have given them. I won’t be reading any of the books they have written since they can’t take the time do those things. For readers it is important for books to flow. Spelling mistakes, typos, characters that have different names are all things that stop the flow of a read and make us pause, question and go back through a book to see if we missed something. To those of you that enjoy these books and this doesn’t bother please don’t take offense as this is my opinion, however, the mistakes, typos and name change are true.
