I’ve read both It Ends With Us & It Starts With Us. This movie honestly had me crying because I remember reading the books over 2 years ago and I am not into this genre but truly this movie was captivating and I believe highlighted the main parts of the book which I really appreciated! My boyfriend had not read the books and every moment we kept looking at each other making faces and I do believe they did a fantastic job at addressing the DV, Violence, etc. It’s sad of course, but it’s also a moment to recognize that this does happen. No need to sugar coat or hide away the reality of several women and men’s realities. I would not recommend for anyone under the age 13 just cause how heavy the movie gets towards the middle. I cried for several reasons and it is a sensitive movie. To me it’s not just a movie, it’s a representation of what you really don’t know what happens behind closed doors and how someone can overcome those unfortunate situations. Also, ATLAS IS MY FAAAAVVV 💕 fell in love with him when I first read the books!
