I have not see this film itself. Rather, I stumbled upon a clip of it (which made me nauseous and I could not finish) and watched some videos by youtubers and read the parental advisory. While normally I wouldn't review a movie I hadn't watched, there is no justifiable reason for the content of the film, the way it was filmed. How does the camera zooming in on children's bodies help spread a message or further the plot? At one point a child's breast was even exposed.
The director argues she was sexualising these children in order to argue against the sexualisation of children. I hope this director does not try to make a film arguing against anything else. Would you murder someone to spread a message against murder? Should DARE campaigns start drugging kids?
