BLAND.
I wish I could give this less stars. This movie dragged on with no plot development and built up characters that went nowhere. Two lame jump scares was the entirety of the fear aspect and some footage of unrelated body horror. Main character's motive was not consistent as she seemed to be very invested in becoming a nun but then acted rebellious towards the Church structure. Dialogues were redundant and did not benefit the storytelling. We never actually saw anything creepy happen that was teased (very infrequently at that). It felt like they spent most of the budget on the filming location and costumes and it looked more like some cutesy period piece set in the seventies. Also, they absolutely missed some excellent opportunity to add some implied LGBT representation at the end so it doesn't even have a relevance in todays media climate.. which was sad as it would have given the story more depth and potential. This was as bland as a "horror" film as they get.
