A brilliant film, superbly acted by all aboard, and the cinematography and "try to keep up, buddy" editing style is enthralling. Michael Small's foreboding score is as unique as his first score for "The Parallax View"...eliciting a marvelous sense of unease without hitting you over the head. When it leaves the droning ominous texture of the majority of the score....for a love sequence, it is breathtakingly beautiful. Have seen it many times including when it was released in theaters, and it never grows old. "Is it safe?" .....most assuredly!
