Really hard to listen to. The album was an extreme disappointment and an example of Hubris, as Swift rushed the release of an album filled with songs that appear to be unfinished and half-baked. It seems Swift and her team didn’t spend enough time developing each song as the music appears to lack the depth or identity the lyrics demanded. As a result the music is forgetful and repetitive, which is a shame because the lyrics deserved more. The songs featuring Post Malone and Florence were specifically a let down as they failed to effectively utilize these incredible artists. Malone in particular was given the same treatment John Mayer had given Taylor in “Half of My Heart”. As a lifelong Swift fan, I’m sad to see that the downfall era has begun.
