Book title is definitely misleading. Should be titled “ People of the last 30 miles of the CT river”. There is virtually nothing in the book dedicated or describing the 350 miles of river above Hartford. Nothing about the communities that make up of the majority of the river, nothing about all the mills that prospered on the river….etc etc etc. The book’s author is self absorbed in mentioning his Griswold family heritage and its surrounding area rather than much of anything else at all.
