The author has a gift for describing nature and making it come to life in one’s mind. Her character development is so deep into the character’s (Kia) soul. The symbiotic relationship between Kia and nature is so beautifully portrayed. One of the best books I have ever read. Watched interviews with Ms. Owens. Her background gives her a great understanding of man/woman and nature. She is one GIFTED writer.
