PS4 - Had every Madden since the beginning in the 90's on Super Nintendo. And although this one could never fall off that bad, it has glitches doing the most basic things like creating a playbook and simply substituting players(in the Franchise Mode)! Other than the DT actually having pronounced moves, the in game action is a downgrade from last year and the overall game experience has fell off big time! Madden is the ONLY game I've played since 2000 and this year it's quickly becoming the most disappointing season ever! Even with the added modes, it gets corny. Why do you have to recreate the avatar for every mode. You put it out there on the home screen....for what, to dress him in different gear? Then recreate him to actually play? The Face Of The Franchise was great until you get to the NFL and realize you'll never play regular games. Its all a one track controlled script after that. It's also disgusting to play Franchise Mode (relocation) and watch the Houston Oilers with their two jersey basic uniforms start turning gray with different florescent colors shading the players. Reminds me of Tecmo Bowl back in the day, except there's no cartridge to blow on to clear things up! --- I paid for the MVP version and I feel like I wasted my money. I could have just kept Madden 20 and used the Roster Updates created online. And I can't believe I'm actually saying this because I'm a Madden loyalist, but I'm glad the NFL signed licensing rights to another company. I can't believe Madden has fallen off this badly. The realism that made me buy it every year for all these years is quickly fading away into a simple arcade game. There's nothing unique about an arcade game. What makes Madden great is the realism, from the teams, to the players, to the plays.....the 21 version has been reduced to an arcade game full of glitches and the only mode that really matters(Franchise) offers the worst in-game experience since entering the world of playstation.
