An excellent comedy with a touch of life in the late 19th century. Both William Powell and Irene Dunne were perfectly typecast, and while young Elizabeth Taylor had a minor, she certainly did brighten top her scenes. Of course the movie is dated, and I suspect Dunne's ways would not go down so well today, but as Vinnie she was no shrinking violet, inspire of outward appearances. I'd give this movie 9 out of 10.
