So this show started off so good. The characters were likable and I really liked the way it was sensitive to viewers and showed us different viewpoints of the same event. I was enjoying the Eddie/Delilah storyline and actually believing in and liked them. And then BAM. That storyline just dead (pun intended) and now we get to follow Eddie and his annoying wife and their even more annoying kid. Dont get me started on Maggie. Gary’s humour and character get totally lost in the mess that is Maggie (who is interestingly always preaching to people how she knows best- sure -we can tell) Fast forward a few seasons and now we have Maggie and some annoying Englishman that seems to have just wandered onto the set and never left and Maggie and Gary doing the “we arent together” dance over and over and over. Now shes pregant now shes not. Nothing to see here about that. (??). Sophie is left alone basically by her mother for MONTHS with Gary in charge and -surprise surprise- finds herself in a bad situation with her music teacher. But none of this is the focus- the focus is covid and masks and addiction. Oh and emotional cheating by almost all the characters. The last straw for me was the last 2 episodes. Im out.
