It’s one of my must see over and over again Movies... completely misunderstood and unappreciated by reviewers..... A broad scope of violence, irony, tragedy, philosophy and a superb script with superb acting. A very real depiction of how one bad greed driven decision leads excruciatingly down the path of ultimate suffering ( think Bonfire of the Vanities). And for the sheer joy of innovative eroticism who can forget the scene of Diaz ecstatically ravishing the windshield of Bardem’s Ferrari.? Of this ferociously great cast I thought Fassbender was the best of the best.

The story itself, the language, and the sex scenes Are simply not believable. That said, it was gripping Enough to make me want to watch it to the end. The movie otherwise perfectly portrayed Brooklyn Jewish life. The conversations among the guests Were totally real, and I personally loved the bagel/ Lox ( really all the food) that brought back the memories. If you enjoy this type of entertainment I recommend The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel… another take on nyc Jewish life with superb humor.
