As someone who don't really play Battlefield and prefer Call of Duty, I sympathize and understand why Battlefield fans is very upset. Battlefield 2042 is terrible. I played the beta before I even dreamed about buying this miserable excuse of a game and I was smart to not buy the game at all. The beta had so many issues just a couple weeks before release, and it pretty much transferred to the entire game 10x worse than what it was.
No Classes, Operators acting like their playing laser tag instead of fighting in a war, Glitches every where, bad map design, no content for a live service without a campaign, scarce amount of weapons to choose from, minimum effort put into the core aspects, copying games like Call of Duty, Fortnite and Rainbow Six Seige. And the biggest insult of all, Dice has the nerve to call it's fanbase entitled and their expectations are too high like it's their fault the game was nothing short of a hot mess, and refused to give their customers their money back.
Battlefield was known for it's unique classes and team based combat compared to Call of Duty and Rainbow Six Seige, and EA decided it'd be a good idea to remove classes and replace them with cringy specialists. In a poor ditch attempt to sell it's fanbase microtransactions, skins and battle passes in a era where battle royals are dying off. Showing they don't care about making a passionate, well loved filled game, and is more concerned about making money. EA and Dice needs to be investigated, looked into and get shut down with how they treat their customers, die-hard fans and their own legacy.
The fact that it took 5 development teams and delayed Need For Speed 2021 to 2022, and killed so many other games and this is what we got is nothing short of amazing and astonishing. Do not buy this trash. Do not buy another EA product ever again until they clean house and have a regime change in management. That is all.
