Renée had the mannerisms of Judy garland down. Astonishing. people have criticized that Judy’s own singing wasn’t used. I for one am glad they let Renée sing. She was terrific and has earned that Oscar nod forthcoming. If not the statue itself. She has done nothing but praise Judy and that her involvement in this film a love letter to Judy. I am sorry that Liza and Lorna do not see it this way, as I have read. Pity. But I can understand that it Is painful to relive their lives at this point in time. Wonder what they think this awards season, golden globe win. I am guessing sag and Oscar win as well. Renée deserves it.
