Jesus is not remotely Hollywood or Bollywood or anything else. ‘Just’ Jesus. Trying to be unbiased I think he’s well portrayed, realistically depicted. Thank goodness they haven’t been woke here.
There are a few minor irritations, like the intermittent music vocals, the agonising by Christ on how and what to say for a major sermon (the Mount), the stage like curtains.
Many people develop images of individuals over time and one must put these aside and be patient.
It’s clearly a deep injection of grace and faith for thousand (millions perhaps). I love the little interviews with the credits. Nice touch.
