This is a must have game. It redefines what is possible with RPG’s on the PC. If you’re an experienced gamer, you need to forget about the limitations common to previous games! There are several ways to complete nearly every quest (maybe all). Storyline: I agree with some who don’t like the main storyline. I never liked mindflayers. The rest of it however is amazing. Many side quests some of which are better than and worthy of the main plot. Gameplay: visually stunning. I have not encountered any bugs. They put in a lot of time in finding ways to make every spell useful. Feather fall and Misty Step are my favorites! They allow you to bypass traps and navigate differently (you don’t have to use the front door, you can drop down on your enemies)! I tested flight finally. While it’s not up to City of Heroes standards, it is good, The thing I don’t like it that you have to land every turn. So it only lets you fly as far as you can get in one turn. Typically can push or use spells which knock your opponents back. This is awesome! You can knock them into a chasm, lava flow or off a cliff. It makes some encounter much easier. Be warned though, if you can do it to them, they can do it to you! The AI is well written. NPC’s: every character has a background. Some are annoying others are fun. Travel with the characters you enjoy. From what I’ve seen, you can get rid of NPC’s you don’t like. Sexuality: there is adult content in the game. Nudity can be turned off. One thing I don’t like is all the NPC’s are attracted to my character. They should have an option to turn off the LGBTQ stuff just like the nudity. I don’t want a male wanting to hook up with my character. Honestly, I could do away with all the sexuality. My friends and I are playing this game with different character origins / classes and comparing notes. There are multiple ways to complete the quests. While one person may use violence, another may use their tongue and another their wit. It’s as close to table top as any PC Game has ever been. Other reviews: While 90% of ratings are 5 stars, I looked at the 1 star reviews. Most were written a year or 2 before the game even launched. They were in Beta and had limited content as well as bugs to work out. This is understandable since it was in Beta! That’s what software companies do to work out the kinks and ensure they deliver a quality product at final release. Well, the game has now been released and it’s amazing! Think of it like NWN2 only better! Much better! I hope you enjoyed my review and found it helpful. Okay, I'm now in Act 3. The sexual content is a little much in this game. Still a great game, but they need to tone it down a bit with the LGBTQ content. I understand they want to create something for that community and that's fine, but the LGBTQ community is less than 10% of the population and every major NPC is LGB or T. What's worse is that when you say you're not interested, they continue to hit on you. In the real world, that would be sexual harassment. As an alternative, you could just hire NPC's from Withers and that will help you avoid that content, but they put a lot of character into the NPC's. It's just a shame they break had to go the route of everyone being LGBT.
