So the idea and plot are pretty good. To be honest the dialogue is what hurts the show for me , at first I thought the acting was bad but its more how the actors stuck to the terrible dialogue. It’s extremely campy. I also see a lot of inspiration from The Outsiders and The Goonies. A little too “shiny” for my taste , but understandable to gaining a following who goes off of appearances. The cinematography took some good risks at first then went back to some pretty standard stuff. Definitely getting student film vibes ,which isn’t a bad thing. I like that they went with newer actors ,that’s good. The mystery of the treasure is the only hook that sets rn, nSo overall I’d give the pilot a 6/10. Hope it gets better 👍
