This was definitely one of the better movie tie-ins of tv shows. The animation is on-piont, and characters well-explored and a story just interesting enough to keep you seated to your chair. While also appealing to fans, this film also acts as a entry-point into the series for newcomers, an aspect it does remarkably well. While the beginning and end are easily the best parts of this stunning movie, the rest is also great, bringing fan-favourite characters together in entertaining (and often hilarious) ways. While films that tie into tv shows are most of the time notably bad, this beautifully-animated and light-hearted anime event hits all the right notes and works as a strong argument against this. Downsides to this film are the notably low stakes and uninteresting villain, as well as the often-abused flashback scenes. The film also suffers from explaining too much of what has happened before in the show. However, this can be viewed as a plus for people who are not familiar with the show. Definitely a must-watch for fans of the series, or any fan of superheroes for that matter. Newcomers will also benefit greatly. Overall, an extremely fun film and would definitely recommend.
