People stop lying about this movie. It SUCKS. In true DC fashion, the chemistry between characters is nonexistent. the acting is so forced it's like watching a kid lie horribly to his/her parents because the kid doesn't realize the parents already know. The best characters are Darla and the Asian kid in their young personas. Batson is supposed to be 15 and comes off like 9 or 10. The scene where he finally finds his mom should have pulled at the heartstrings. It was painful to watch as there was zero emotion between either of them. The green screening is obvious which makes the fight scenes boring. Someone said there was supposed to be comedy? I'm still looking for it a day later. This is the worst wimp turned hero movie I've ever seen. After seeing the trailer, I thought maybe the director was trying to co-opt the Marvel formula. He failed exponentially. WB and DC if you all are going to keep putting money into these movies trying to capitalize the way MCU has, you have to find better directors. These movies are painful for people who know these characters intimately. I gauge movies by how much time has passed when I check the time. The movie started at 4:00. The next time I looked at my watch was 5:15 (this includes the 20 or so minutes of trailers and AMC ads). Unless you have AMC A-list or a gift card, wait for RedBox or premium cable
