WARNING: Extremely negative opinions coming up. I liked this game the first time I played it, but upon repeat, I did not like it very much. It's a great example of how a single character can ruin a piece of media. I am of course talking about your little sidekick, Issun. Issun is possibly one of the most annoying and intrusive guide character, possibly ever. Just imagine Fi from skyward sword if she was an obnoxious, Sexist bigot who stops you every five minutes to tell you that you should try "a different way". the games dungeons are pretty disappointing as well and the puzzles almost always entail something like "kill these bad guys" or "Draw a line from this point to the other". One thing I could put in favour of the dungeons, is that they definitely do have a lot of atmosphere. Some pluses of this game include the graphics, the exploration and the quest (when your left to your own devices). Not the worst game I've ever played but it's not the best either. Remember, this is just my opinion, and if you don't agree with it, that's okay.

Fun, but pretty disappointing entry into the series.

Great return to classic Zelda formula.

Brilliant game, the only problem is: YOU WON'T STOP PLAYING IT! There is an almost unending array of stuff to do, whether completing the main quest, or finding a piece of armour. This time around, the main quest is actually engaging; while the Breath of the Wilds story took place in the past, Tears of the Kingdom has you living out a grand and sweeping story (with a side of Korok crucifying) in the present day. The new mechanics are endlessly fun to tinker around with. While BOTW had you manipulating set objects, TOTK feels like you are somehow manipulating reality itself. For me, the new ability FUSE (which allows you to stick objects on the end of your shield or weapon) is a highlight. It somehow does away with weapon hoarding and having that sinking feeling when your Edge of Duality broke. While it doesn't fix weapon durability, it seems to have given it the antidote. also, I don't think I could do a review without mentioning how FREAKING AMZING it is that they managed to run Hi-Fi graphics + Crazy complicated physics engines + a ridiculous amount of content, and still have it run at a pretty consistent 30 FPS. this game is amazing, If you are a fan of Zelda, or a newcomer, you will enjoy this game. 10/10
