Although the movie has some good elements and good actors, it left me disappointed. It made Joan of Arc look angry and crazy instead of passionate for God and country. The visions she had from God looked scary instead of inspiring. The end the movie leaves you doubting whether she heard from God at all. The movie left you thinking that she went for revenge over the fictional horrific death and rape of her sister, instead of true passion for deliverance of her country from the ruthless British soldiers who terrorized the unprotected peasants and the vulnerable villages. The movie did not do a good job of developing Joan of Arc's character from a peasant girl to the leader of an army.
