It’s a pretty endearing movie to watch. Surprisingly, it warmed my heart. Although, I don’t think it’s the funniest movie in the world.

SPOILERS AHEAD *Don't read this if you haven't read the original grisha trilogy Okay, I was not a fan of the ending of the Shadow and Bone series. But I get it, the author wanted a way to end Alina's story line so she could write other grisha books in peace. BUT, that said, it totally ruined the character growth of Alina. It's not a love story, not a book about Alina the map maker, but about Alina Starkov THE SUN SUMMONER. I was reading the books because, despite the flaws of Alina, I wanted to see her adventures of being the sun summoner. Not her love story with Mal, who is a horrible character in the books. In the show, Mal is actually a really good character and I am rooting for his and Alina's relationship. I really HOPE they don't make him the third amplifier, and actually make the firebird the third amplifier. Where in the series, at least half of the book is about. So Alina can keep her powers, become the second army's general in the end of the series. Where it actually makes sense for her character growth. To me, it doesn't really matter what happens to the darkling (as much as I enjoy Alina and his relationship), because he is not a good person. So, if they do decided to continue Mal and Alinas relationship, I'm begging the creators of the show not to take her powers away. I will literally cry myself to sleep if they do so. Sorry, about this rant post, but I was trying to sleep and couldn't get this out of my head. So here's my really badly written post.
