Amazing plot and amazing acting. This is what a great kdrama should be like. A plot that is not like your typical one dimensional romance, rather, it transcends through time. The storyline is well written, with little plot holes. And the characters are well developed. Moving on to the acting, both of the main leads can actually act. They got me crying every episode. I’m writing this review even though I’m at episode 11 because I can’t get myself to finish the drama and get post drama depression.

Even though obviously I would prefer watching a romance between a young and good looking couple, but this old couple really had me hooked. Those who are in your 40-50s, you still have hope? Watch this drama to gain some tips.

Very entertaining to watch smart people go against each other. The games were very well planned as well. Sadly, the contestants for season 1 should have thought more for themselves rather than sacrifice for the orbit’s communist party. Really a real life example that communist doesn’t work. Glad that a non communist won.

Watched season 1 to 3. Salute to Netflix for coming up with new ideas in season 3 so that it’s not repetitive. However, the guys in season 3 has NO PERSONALITY. Suggest you guys hire people who has personality, and not just looks please. Make the show more interesting with more drama.

As someone who also watched the Chinese version, I would say the Netflix one is a very condensed summary of the show. Good for people with short attention span. However, why does Netflix has to american/british wash everything, like literally the story is set in china, why can’t you just hire some Chinese?? And why must the directors add kiss scenes or romance that is TOTALLY UNRELATED to the series???

As someone who has watched both season 1 & 2, the characters in season 1 stood out more while season 2 only revolve around a handful of them. But still an interesting concept. However, it was quite wasted that some strong contestants who lose because of the team matches. They should have revival rounds for all team matches. By the way, season 1 final match is rigged and refilmed 3 times.
