when i began watching it i had pretty average, middle of the road expectations thinking it would just be another semi entertaining high school drama that i would watch just to pass the time. but no, it was such a gripping, addictive show. i binged it all in two days and i don’t watch tv that much so that’s rly fast for me. i was also worried that it being a “supernatural” teen show would make it cringe and just stupid like riverdale lol but it was rly simple with the concepts so it wasn’t overbearing or all over the place. it just kept to the theme of afterlife and dead vs living and was a really fun and interesting concept to watch. out of all the “who done its” this one is really good and captivating. the last episode was so good and finishing it left me with a huge smile and telling my friends that they need to watch it! i cannnnnot wait for season 2!!!! it’s a really fun watch, i high recommend. and i like how it’s diverse with the characters like having the different relationship dynamics with the jock from the 80s, the gay boy from the 90s, the grungy main character, claire the popular girl, the plot line about mad’s moms struggle with alcoholism. the only critique i would give it is that i kind of wish the beginning didn’t start where it did, i wish it showed Maddie finding out she was dead so we could be on that journey with her rather than the kind of random start it had in which it starts with her in the gym, already dead and we didn’t get to really see anything before that. but all in all, 5 stars. a proud fan of peyton list too because i saw she was a producer of the show!! she did great.
