My family and I loved the first movie and were anxious for the reveal of the sequel. However, this was probably one of the worst Christmas movies I have ever watched. The plot was boring and the acting was even worse. Although Kurt did a fabulous job as always, the rest of the actors and actresses were lifeless and looked like they were given five minutes to learn their lines for the entire movie. Also, what was up with the NERF GUN and COOKIES as weapons?? These were probably the worst possible editions to the movie. I cringed the entire scene when the kid defeated all the elves with his crossbow I could buy in the toy section of Walmart. On top of this, Goldie looked like she was being held captive by the directors and forced to make the film. She was lifeless and reminded me too much of a hallmark character. After watching the action packed first film, I expected so much more. There was no real "fight". It seemed like they were being too sensitive towards the children viewing. The first one had car break-ins, jail time, and robberies while the sequel has a giant cat and a chubby teenager as the villain. Whoever played the villain needs to go back to acting school. His lines were so cliche and he looked like he was auditioning for a middle school play. Also, I would have loved to see more of Teddy. He was by far my favorite character of last year's movie and he got hardly fives minutes in this one. Also, do not even get me started on the so called "elves". They looked like they were modified versions of the minions from "Despicable Me", and why did they have to speak a different language??
There is so much more I could say, but the point is this movie was a waste of my time and I will not be giving any recommendations towards it.
