When a filmmaker focuses a war-themed film on timely Afrocentric politics that smothers its universal human themes, this is what you get. Only those personally invested on the issues involved in the film would sit through its length. It gets preachy on ideas no one is not already in agreement with. Even then, it would have worked if the film was short and concise in its delivery. Perhaps production values could have been improved.
