They literally changed the names of almost all of the main characters, and changed their genders as well. I understand that you can't always cram a 30 hour+ book series into a television series, but why would you choose to completely change almost all of the characters and turn what was an absolutely enthralling book series into a half-cocked, watered down version of what millions of people worldwide considered to be a work of art... I was so hyped for this series...
