I seldom take the time to write a movie review, but RRR deserves one after the mind blowing 3 hours 6 minutes that was experienced. This is definitely a movie that demands to be watched on the big screen.
There are numerous goosebump scenes delivered through fight choreography, cinematography and CG elements that underprop the plot line seamlessly.
This is the first time I looked up the name of the cinematographer, and Senthil deserves all the credit and more! SSR’s attention to detail in the character naming, characterisation, song lyrics etc, makes up for the slightly out of reach fight scenes that is conventional to Telugu cinema. SSR has beautifully reference Indian mythology and religion, without any frame of it being offensive to any community!
NTR and Ram Charan carried the movie and each other on their shoulders, quite marvellously. The efforts they must have put into building their physique is done justice by the scenes that let them showcase it.
Special mention to the dance numbers with catchy, fluid movements that makes me want to tap along.
Overall, a must watch if you don’t mind the slightly exaggerated cinematic effects here and there. The pre-climax fight set to Raamam Raghavam had my jaw drop!
