A great movie to see by yourself if you are a mythology nerd. Not a children's movie at all - the story is complicated and historical and ALSO requires total suspension of disbelief with regards to the action scenes and weaponry, and going back and forth in time... oof! It makes my brain hurt just thinking about it. My 7 year old had a hard time following the plot not helped with a lot of subtitle reading, and the length.. 2 and a half hours. There was a break for bathrooms and again for hotdogs and I dont think we missed much. But I loved the locations - Sicily, Athens. I liked the writing and the premise but the overall feel was a little PBS TV special. As a theater experience with kids I say skip.
