I binged watched DEVs and at first I loved it. The cinematography and music are worthy of a binge. As the show went on it felt slow and dragged on and on. I didn’t like how all the characters were saying Lily was strong but to me she seems weak and confused and not “deterministic” for most episodes. The flashbacks to her and her father were nice, but the reference to the man stepping in a river seemed to be the only tie into the storyline the other flashbacks were just a waste of time. I also didn’t like how Lily was so vapid/slow/goal oriented that with every new twist she damn near an asthma attack, but that is acting right? Lastly I am no science, metaphysic, quantum physics geek, but I do understand the premise of deterministic theory that the storyline is built on. That being said, how does “determinism” tie into taking one consciousness from their memories and putting it into code or (heaven)? I was so confused I wanted to throw my remote at the tv!! Nowhere was this feat of magic previously discussed in all 8 episodes and I refuse to watch again to get clarity. Good show overall.
