Intense. Heavy, multifaceted subject matter. These young ones did a phenomenal job. I wasn't sure at first but, once I got into it, I was hooked. I know there are some who get frustrated with the interwoven PC aspect but I've come to view that as secondary to some very fine acting, writing and creativity. Not all aspects of every work resonates with everyone. We take from it what speaks to us as individuals.
