Last week, I watched this one Typically, I reserve Indian village-based movies featuring lesser-known actors for later viewing. However, since this movie was directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Amir Khan, it took precedence on my watchlist. I made the right choice. The storyline revolves around a common experience: losing something on public transport. In this case, the protagonist loses his bride on a train and brings home another woman, sparking a search for his lost bride. Alongside this central plot, the movie addresses various social issues, including women's employment and education, as well as cultural norms like women in North India refraining from addressing their husbands by name and prioritizing their husband's preferences in cooking. The film features fresh faces, each delivering commendable performances. Despite some negative social media posts alleging the degradation of women, the director clarified that the portrayal reflects olden times. In my opinion, this movie is definitely worth watching, and I recommend it to everyone.
