I think I am biased because I am a fan of all of Christopher Nolan's movies but this one hit differently. It takes a great director like Nolan to produce a biographical movie that is actually a thriller. I swear that the last hour of this movie kept me on the edge of my seat even though I am familiar with the book and the story of Oppenheimer. Story aside, the score and the visuals of this film are breathtaking. I was so immersed in this film from beginning to end and was so happy that the theatre was packed. Thank you Nolan for saving cinema and for always creating masterpieces!

A surprisingly light-hearted fun movie. From the first moment of the movie, it gets your attention with its amazing visual and musical score. It is a wonderful satire of our current world and how everything is always taken to one extreme or another. Yet despite all the comedy, it has a lovely message about society's expectations of gender roles and how breaking away from these predefined roles alienates you from your community. It also conveys a positive message about self-discovery and self-actualization. The soundtrack will have you dancing and the visuals will take your breath away. I am so happy that this movie was actually made as it is such a breath of fresh air. I am also sad that we have many insecure people who are just bombing the movie with negative reviews out of spite. Such a lovely movie and totally worth the hype. Looking forward for Ken-focused sequel. :)

It is not a masterpiece like Signs, Unbreakable, The Sixth Sense or Split nor is it a disaster like The Happening, The Lady in the Water and Old. This movie falls in between. Frankly, it seems like the director doesn't know which type of movie he wanted to make. Is it a horror? Is it a thriller? Is it a drama? Is it a sci-fi? To be honest, you can't tell. The plot itself is interesting and it does keep you guessing throughout but the slow pace of the movie and the absence of any payoff at the end make the experience a rather dull one. I mean I don't think I will remember this movie beyond a week or 2 because it has nothing going for it. However, the cinematography and the acting in this movie are amazing. The actors all shine especially Dave Bautista's character who is very sympathetic and you feel for him throughout the movie. As is the case of most Shyamalan movies, the side characters are all under-developed and kinda fade in the background. All in all, a well shot movie, an interesting plot and some great acting completely wasted by a lack of vision, lackluster ending and Shyamalan's tendency to force feed his audience the core message of the movie. I say lower your expectations before watching this movie if you decide to.
