I played Far Cry 3 for the first time this year. I had played FC4 and FC5 beforehand, and started this game after that. It is astonishing to see how a game from almost a decade ago could still hold up today, and even beat many modern triple A titles. Sure, the mechanics of the game are ever so slightly "outdated" dare I say, but to be honest, I've simply never had more fun than this playing any other game before. The characters, the story, the gameplay, the drama- this game is a full package. The story of the transition of Jason Brody from "Mr Chips to Scarface" in itself is worthy of an award. And of course, I can't even bring up Far Cry 3 without mentioning Vaas. He is definitely the best villain ever in any game. I thought there won't be much left to do after Vaas's chapter was over but boy was I wrong. This game just keeps on giving. I've heard everyone saying that this is the best game in the Far Cry series, I can confirm that. Not only is it an amazing Far Cry game, to me, this IS the best game ever. Period. Kudos to all the people at Ubisoft who worked on this masterpiece. What a game, what an experience!
