I wanted to like this but it’s awful. Can’t decide if it wants to be a comedy or a drama and it doesn’t integrate the two well. It’s also so over the top it’s ridiculous. Giving up after three episodes. The only redeeming qualities are the cute male leads.

It’s hard to root for a heroine that is so shallow and insipid. It was also utterly predictable- you could see the end coming a mile away. If you want a book that’s frothy fun but has good writing, stick with the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy.
