I really liked Jordan Peele’s latest cinematic offering, “Nope”. The character development, especially of the two main characters, “Emerald” and her older brother, OJ was spot-in while craftily establishing two very different, yet simultaneously very engaging characters.
The annunciated surrealistic imagery in the flick rivaled a Rene Magritte or Salvador Dali painting, thus making the movie scenery at times both breathtaking and heavy with mood. The movie is fantastical and dreamy, while posing some rather disturbing questions about the chronic uncertainty shrouding the world around us.
A lot of the movie is left for subjective interpretation and open-ended questions. -But I think that’s one of the points that the story was attempting to convey…that there are some things in the world that we may never be able to explain, and that’s perfectly ok. -Especially if you can get the event in question on some sort of film!
