I had sooooo many expectations from this movie, largely because it had Sharman Joshi in a lead role, in an apparently sensible film, after a long hiatus. But no matter how much life Joshi tried to pump into his character, it seemed just so unconvincing, and rather annoying. The script is the weakest aspect of this movie..I have no idea how and why the director said yes to this project. But well, even the direction is atrocious, and the narration jarringly disjointed. Aishwarya Devan may have garnered accolades down South, but her debut Hindi film suggests she can't act to save her life. The songs are okayish..Especially "tujhe dhoond raha dil"which is kind of soothing.. when compared to the grunge metallic background score that is so distracting you can't hear what the characters are saying to each other. Not that it matters...Supporting characters are hammy, over the top, and ludicrous at times..All in all, there's a good chance you'll be exasperated every now and then.
Second half is actually still decent, but falls flat on its claims as a suspense thriller coz you start picking up clues from the first half itself. So it seems foolish when the script tries to take you through a maze of "surprises". You do feel sad by how the climax turns out to be, but wonder what was the point of it all? Like the scriptwriters could've written a better revenge saga.
Totally avoidable. I'm just sad I'm not getting my 500 bucks back for this!
