With genuine suspenseful moments and well shot scenes with decent cinematography, the film relies to heavily on jump scares and horror cliches of the past decade. By the end of the first act the entire film becomes predictable and the final act has too many fake outs and as well as feels tagged on.

There's not too much to say about this movie other then the storyline is dumb the villain, of course, makes a character arc to turn good ( like we haven't seen that ten million times) and the finale is beyond borderline stupid. Van Helsing who is somehow alive after 200 years plays a song on an organ that raises the Kraken that will destroy all monsters on the island and Johnny as to fight back with POSITIVE MUSIC. While I have to admit the animation is impressive and some jokes are very funny everything else is as stupid and lazy as anything can get.

This movie is accurate in some places has some good jokes, great characters, funny moments and even a great character arc but then there are all the lame pop culture references like dabbing, Gucci, and worst of all INSTAGRAM but if you overlook those things this is a really okay movie.
