The report on the young (12) girl who composed symphonies was great, but the emphasis that she was black was not necessary and to her probably degrading to her. She is a young girl with great talent!! Just a young girl!! Report the story only. You could tell she did not come from a depressed black family but that was the implication. CBS owes her an apology. Report the news. Don’t give your or CBS opinion. We don’t want or need it. She was the classiest person in the report and it was evident she was thankful for her talent, regardless of the color of her skin. Until the media stops emphasizing our differences RACISM will not disappear. Jim Hodge
