I would rate higher, I really enjoyed the cast and the storyline if it was based on Anne Rice novel. I would have preferred it follow the book or use this storyline and time period but call it something else. Anne Rice is a great writer and her books made to movie shouldn't be changed. It would be like the Titanic being re-done and they don't hit an iceberg.
