This book... The beginning was relatable-yozo as a child. But as he grew up - normalising prostitution, drugs, alcohol... It didn't add up to me. Personally wanna have a private talk on this with dazai. Yet the lines stirred up lots of emotions in me with a feeling of disgust as well. But gave me a clarity on how he perceived the world...not close to my perception but definitely more on a darker side most wouldn't write about.
