Margarita Verdejo (Maggie)

Ok so is low budget but keep an open mind. Is 1971 and there is devil worshippers, with satanic chanting, nude dancing, and werewolfs. I found it to be a step above rosemary’s baby. Better to watch black robes worshippers than older nude witches Overall is creative and the storyline is not bad. It was fun to watch. By the way, great music!

( contains SPOILERS) I really enjoyed watching this film. In early 70’s and with no CGI to help with the cinematographies, I say it was a very good horror movie. The owners of the villa are under the spell of the devil, Leonadro played by Telly Savalas, whom are living a robotic life where there is no escape. I love how the mannequins portray the souls collected by the devil and how Telly plays a comical character. From the beginning of the movie, you can see the protagonist Lisa meets Leonadro and immediately is taken into a lonely realm where she finds herself lost. Even in the end of the movie where she awakens to find the villa in rumbles you sense that Lisa is no longer living her life. Even thought she leaves villa, heads back to her hotel, and boards the plane the entire scenes look surreal. Overall, it was a good movie.

Most thriller/horrors are dominated by one group of people so it was nice to see a horror film directed and an almost all cast of minorities, and not an international film either! I loved the story and the acting of all. It was well made and worth the time. Lee Daniels can definitely create all from drama to nonfiction, and now horror/thriller.
