This book is an amalgamation of The Hunger Games, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and other popular books. I saw this book pop up on a TikTok and was intrigued by dragon-shifting princes. However, I feel this book was … prematurely released, to put it nicely. It’s very fast-paced, so fast-paced that half of the plot was gone. Disappeared to just reappear out of nowhere to once again disappearing. You can tell the author had a goal, but didn’t know how to get there. Most of the time I was just plain confused. I’m used to reading fantasy, world-building, fast-paced novels, but this was just trying to do too much. The author would place a key part of a plot in, to just randomly forgo it entirely. For instance: “my goal is to destroy the dragon and save my people.” Never once did the main character have that goal. It only came in midway - out of nowhere! - and then was just discarded. If the author spent more time connecting the dots on paper, it could be better. In my honest opinion, this is not worth the read.
