the funniest tv show i have ever seen...it was way ahead of its time

Decided to finally watch this after watching the official trailer for the Mortal Kombat movie due to drop in April and I have to say it's the most visceral animated feature I have seen in a while and it everything I'd want in a movie based off the game. The opening sequence sets the tone on how bloody it can and does get but it also sets up Scorpion to be a very likeable character. I personally used to think he was one of the bad guys but I was rooting for and wanted more of him with every minute that elapsed without him being on screen.As for the story, it's predictable with one twist but the action and sound design is where it's at. I also liked Raiden and thought the other earth heroes were okay at best but I had gripes with how Johnny Cage was just played off for comedic relief most of the time. Overall, I was entertained through and through and it was fun seeing other characters from the game in fights or in the background like easter eggs. Plus they say the things!( except for fatality ) would recommend this to anyone whose played the games and wants to be entertained .

The only worthwhile aspect of this game is the gameplay, art direction, voice acting, score and accessibility options. It suffers from a very weak plot, poorly written characters and pacing issues that make the story hard to enjoy.
