Antwain Clarke

This is not a blockbuster hit but I don't think the creators intended it to be. Japan Sinks: 2020 is a low budget mini series that is perfect to play in the background or a watch on a lazy weekend. The doomsday genre is not foreign to most, but this series was distinctly Japanese- a refreshing take on similar stories told in the West. The characters are charming, sometimes unrealistically optimistic. The emotional scenes are tragic and sudden- similar to real life. The highs are high and the lows are low. I personally loved the very matter-of-fact queer representation. All in all, a-easy-to-watch series with a tidy ending.
