This book is so heart touching as it tells the tale of love between a grandmother and her grandson. Hamid is portrayed as very wise kid at such tender age. He spent the money on buying a kitchen tool (chimta) for her grandmother that was given to him for buying toys from the fair. He was more concerned about the burns on his grandma's hand that he kept on thinking about her instead of buying anything for himself. Premchand has written this story in very beautiful way. It is worth reading.
