I have been many times to Bali, yes the island is stunning, yet what has made Bali a magical place to visit and live is the rich ceremonial life. The wedding did have a Hindu priest and Bahasa language was spoken, even Balinese. However with all the star studded production of mixed cultural love and the algae farming. The pretentious and huge lack in this film was the musical score. Every procession and ceremony in Bali, without exception has elaborate melodic gamelan music. This was totally absent, revealing the total lack of research into Balinese ceremonial culture, to create an authentic film.
